On September 9, 2025, the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy (ICARE) hosted an academic exchange in Conference Room N309 of the Clean Energy Building. The meeting brought together representatives from China Tobacco Hubei Industrial LLC, experts from the University of Padova (Italy), and ICARE faculty to discuss key issues such as heating process optimization and improving energy efficiency.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Zou Mingqing, Vice Dean of ICARE, introduced the institute’s academic development, research platforms, and achievements in related fields. He emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to strengthen dialogue between universities, enterprises, and researchers, share technical expertise, and promote cooperation for green industrial development.
During the interactive session, Professor Fabrizio Dughiero from the University of Padova shared his insights on technological breakthroughs at the intersection of tobacco and energy research. He also highlighted the promising opportunities for international collaboration in this field. The discussion then turned to the practical needs of industry, focusing on green production technologies and strategies to optimize energy consumption in manufacturing.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to continue in-depth consultations and explore concrete avenues for future cooperation.
