On June 17, 2025, ICARE and SMOORE International—a global leader in atomization technology—jointly hosted the “From Curiosity to Aspiration” job hunting training camp and university sharing session in Room N411 of the Clean Energy Building. The event, focused on career planning and skill enhancement amid employment challenges, attracted numerous students.

Xu Xiaolei, head of SMOORE’s campus recruitment team, emphasized the importance of “choosing the industry before the enterprise.” She advised students to consider industry size, growth potential, key success factors, and disruptive technologies. Citing SMOORE’s rise in the global atomization market through innovation and management efficiency, she illustrated how technology can open new career pathways.

In the professional capability development session, Xu emphasized managing one’s personal capability matrix, charting development paths, and transitioning from student to professional mindsets. She urged students to challenge the habit of “seeking the right answer,” break through invisible ceilings, embrace trial and error, and adopt value- and result-oriented thinking focused on collaboration and initiative.

Xu also shared how AI is transforming recruitment, such as generating customized interview questions and structured summaries. She encouraged students to use AI as a “job-hunting partner” for resume optimization, company research, and interview prep—while warning against overreliance.

After the event, Xu engaged in one-on-one discussions with students on career planning and technology trends. Tang Jia, a 2023 ICARE student, noted that the event reshaped his perception of energy careers, realizing how his technical skills could apply in interdisciplinary fields like healthcare. “Our thermodynamics models and fluid simulations,” he said, “can be used in innovative scenarios like atomized drug delivery.”

The session offered students direct exposure to industry insights and enriched their career resources, helping them transform academic interests into sustainable, interdisciplinary career goals.
